Gotcha Day!

Wow, 2 years ago today we officially met Addie Lu for the first time! I thought it would be cute to post her referral pictures. I'm not quite sure how old she is here, but am guessing probably a year and a half. We adopted her at 26 months, so I don't think it would be any later than that!

A Quick Trip to the Grand Hotel

We made a quick trip down to the Grand Hotel for a CE course. This is one of my favorite places in the world. Fairhope is such a neat little town with all kinds of shopping and great places to eat. Because the grounds are so beautiful at the Grand, I decided to take a few pictures of Addie there. In the above picture, she is actually wearing the "dress" I wore to have my portrait painted. As you can see what was a dress on me is actually a top on her. Even though I was about 4 at the time, she is much taller than I was. I have decided to have her portrait done as well from this picture. What do you think?
The Grand Hotel has a neat little beach area which Addie enjoyed while my friend Amy and I were at our CE class. Thankfully Mom came along to watch Addie Lu while we were gone!

Here she is at the pool. The pool is great here and has a fun waterslide, which Mom said they went down many times!

When we go to the Grand, I always book a room in the spa building. I just think the rooms are a little nicer, and they have these great balconies with rocking chairs. We spent a lot of time out on our balcony just watching people walk by and drinking coffee (well, Mom and Amy, I'm not a big coffee drinker).
Below is a picture of our room. It has some of the most comfy beds that I've ever slept in! The Grand Hotel was actually bought by Marriott a few years ago, so you get those special beds here.

Concert at Decatur Heritage

Sorry about the picture quality. Not sure what happened here (I didn't take them). Anyway, Addie Lu had a concert at Decatur Heritage where the 4 and 5 K class sang. She loves to sing!
I think they must be doing the old standard "Deep and Wide".
Here's a full shot of the kids. Addie loves her class so much!
